I decided to invest in Optimum Nutrition Creatine Powder. Invest is a strong word considering how affordable it is. A friend had recommended this brand to me so I thought I’d give it a shot. I started using it in addition to my workout plan and eating schedule.
This supplement is great for helping muscles grow. It also helps you recover more quickly and you build overalls strength.
Pros and Cons about Optimum Nutrition Creatine Powder:
Pros
- It’s affordable.
- 99.9 Percent pure creapure creatine monohydrate.
- It works. I’ve tried a lot of pills, supplements, and powders in the past. I didn’t really see the results that I wanted from those, so I was happy to find something that worked for me. I felt an increase in my energy as I started to use it, so I didn’t feel so fatigued during my workouts. The fact that I actually saw results was motivating.
- It’s unflavored. For me, this is a pro because I would rather have the option of adding it to anything. If something is chocolate or vanilla flavored I think about what would taste best with it. When it’s unflavored, you can mix it with anything. I usually add it to coffee or my pre-workout.
Cons
- It doesn’t dissolve very well in water. This isn’t a big deal and I found out that creatine isn’t water soluble at all. It won’t dissolve because it has a different pH and polarity than water. Creatine can be broken down in stomach acid so that it can be absorbed by the digestive track. So that fact that it doesn’t dissolve doesn’t mean it isn’t good. I usually put it in a smoothie or juice. This is only a con because it may be a little inconvenient to some people.
Conclusion
Overall, I think that this was a good purchase. I’m satisfied with my results and how the protein made me feel and look. I gained muscle, lost fat and felt energetic. I highly recommended it to others who are serious about their health goals.
